Genuine or Nothing.

Abby F.- Glamour magazine Junior of the year contest photograph.
Evan W.- A graphic Design major needed some head shots of himself for an assignment.

I have found that there are two schools of thought in portrait photographs: 1. The photographer just about has complete creative control and uses the people that are in the images as props. or 2. The photographer that wants shared creative control believing that it is just as much the person who is in its shoot as it is their own.
I believe-Let the subject dictate how you photograph them- my job as the photographer is to capture the moment as accurately as possible while maintaining good composition (all while not interrupting).
I want my photographs to be genuine portrayals of the subject(s).
