Quality Pie

This fall break for thanksgiving I got to spend the night at my grandma's house for some much needed quality time. It was great. Im a light sleeper so when I woke up the first time I just thought it was her getting up to use the rest room so I rolled over. At around ten I finally went down stairs to say good morning. As I approached the sitting area in the kitchen, right before it, I saw the pie. All of the cooking bowls were cleaned and put away and the counter was spotless. She greeted me warmly and offered to heat up a slice of the home made pumpkin pie while we waited for the tea to seep.

When asked when she had made the pie she happily said 5 am that morning. Apparently, the day before I had said that I didn't like the costco brand pie as much as her recipe :) sooooooo true!
