This semester I didn't take any photography related courses. Instead I took a ceramics course and a intro to 2D class. I had to air out.
I must be honest with myself. No, I have not, unlike last semester, picked up my camera every day or spent more than 150+ hours studying, analyzing, and admiring other people's bodies of work this semester. pitiful, i know.
That's looking at my semester from afar though. This semester I managed to get to more theater productions, read more books, and go to more concerts in the music department.
At first, I honestly assumed it was a lack of dedication and discipline on my part for having put so little time into the craft I last semester had vowed to be my passion till the end of time...or something like that; when I told my professors this they politely laughed with me about this self criticism. Really though-
If I say that I am passionate or have ambitions to attain a certain level or credibility and ability within any field of study...I have to not just find time but Make time for it.
