From Today

Location- McPherson Square- Occupy D.C.
at the end of most weekends i try to sit down and force myself to write out one memory from that week in complete sentences. here is this week's memory:
-----

Both of their shirts were stretched out from the reaching, running, and grabbing.  The loose shirts filled with air and lifted their small bodies up and forward into the natural arch of the wind.  Neither of them lost momentum or miscalculated the distance between himself and the other.  It was unclear as to which force was governing the game.

Rolling on the ground they were a blur. Fists and feet took turns taking jabs at the world whenever adults got too close.

-----
i shared this with my roommate who was an english major in undergrad. she said the tone in each section was too different. i agree with her. i can't think of how to join them, though...
also, this started as an attempt to write about two boys playing a game of chase and tackle that turned into rough-housing. they would run and tackle one another to the ground, rough house for a few minutes and then get back up and do it all over again. when i arrived at the park they were doing this and when i left 2 hours later they were still at it. idk. i usually don't post on here only cause i get self-conscious about grammar...i posted this today because i realized that maybe i was using photography as a crutch, excuse, and reason not to make more serious attempts at improving my writing skills.
