I down right friggin refuse to ruin my hearing at such a young age. As of now, I am the only person in the house who thinks that the volume 50 is too loud. I have very sensitive ears and it drives me NUTS! I am sitting in the farthest room of the house with ear plugs in the sounds from the television are pristine for me. I am sick of going to bed with my ears ringing (currently, the pitches are maintaining a very steady perfect 5th: D,G)- those tiny little hairs that are being burned off actually mean something to me- each and every one of them (yes, that was a sore attempt at trying to lighten this post up cause frankly I am thoroughly annoyed):/ gr.
I've stopped asking them to turn it down because all they do is get defensive and turn it up even more- that's how I know it doesn't HAVE to be that loud. It's usually at 35... ><
And then there's the yelling... they yell because they're deaf- all of them do. I wouldn't so much mind the yelling if they didn't have a problem with me yelling my replies back at them.
I don't care for loud noises in general...I can live with people that are loud and the majority of city sounds or even concerts, for that matter. There is just something in particular about obnoxiously loud televisions and radios.
