went to see Dinosaur 3D at the Smithsonian and learned that the Milky Way slowly rotates as it moves in space. Within that galaxy is our solar system; it takes our solar system 225 million years to go around the galaxy just once. When equating one rotation of the galaxy as one hour, then the Earth is 20 hours old, dinosaurs lived for 48 minutes, and the first humanoids appeared about...48 seconds ago.
I find comfort in that information.
